KISS Metrics, the company behind KISS Insights, found a few common issues that were always brought up by their clients. The clients wanted to know how to ask customers what they felt could improve their product or service, how to tell who is sending the feedback (existing customers or visitors passing through), how to determine which customers are returning to their site, and how to produce a question and answer system that is more effective than the standard poll or survey. To help clients with these concerns, KISS Metrics got to work and created KISSinsights.
In June 2012, it was announced that KISSinsights was acquired by CatchFree, a software comparison service.
Anyone can add a poll or survey to their site, but what does this information really say? Most visitors ignore these extra items. If the site really forces them into it, then the visitor will be turned off and may not return. These are also very limited in what they can say. KISSinsights, on the other hand, allow the site owner to get tailored feedback based on a question they ask as well as information on which customers are returning.
KISSinsights is very un-intrusive. The visitor can easily find the inquiry, which is posed like a typical question rather than a survey, and provide an answer quickly. KISSinsights features an eye-catching dark design. The logo is highlighted by a haunting splash of rainbow hues, which further demonstrate the creative approach of the site’s creators.
To begin using KISSinsights, a new visitor must fill in the fields located on the homepage. These ask for a site URL, username, password, and question. After clicking the blue “Ask My Question” button, the user is directed to a page that offers the code for that question which can be placed on their website. It’s extremely easy and takes only a minute to complete. There are available membership plans as well that the user can choose to sign up for.
Users are given three membership plans to choose from when using KISSinsights. The first is a free membership which includes unlimited surveys and up to 30 responses per month. The mid level membership is the Premium, which costs just under $30 a month. This membership upgrades to customizable surveys, custom thank you responses, no KISSinsights branding, and up to 1,000 responses per month. There is a 1 cent per response overage fee as well. The most expensive membership is the Unlimited, which costs about $300 annually (and pans out to about $25 per month). This membership upgrades to unlimited responses.

The application is very easy to use, with question creation done in a matter of seconds. There are three membership options which easily fit into any budget. A small, low traffic site can opt for the free membership while a bustling business website could opt for the Unlimited plan.
